Integrative Counselling
Integrative counselling provides a space for people to talk about personal issues in a confidential environment. It combines ideas and approaches from various different fields of talk therapy including humanistic psychology, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), transactional analysis (TA), gestalt therapy, emotional freedom technique (EFT) and hypnotherapy.
Counselling is primarily concerned with listening carefully in order to help clients to gain insight into their own feelings and behaviour rather than offering advice.
Sessions usually take place once a week. Making this regular commitment gives you a better chance of finding out why you are having difficulties although the number of sessions can vary greatly according to individual needs.
People may benefit from counselling when dealing with challenging experiences and difficult feelings of sadness, depression, anxiety or low self-worth.
